There were only 8 millon
organic ha in 2000, they have quadrupled within 6
years.There are 633,891 organic farms at 2007.
North America progressed the most with 1.4 million ha in 2005 and 2.2 million ha in 2007.
The main increase is Asia. China certified 3 million
ha of pasture in 2005.

coutry to another.
6 of the 25 countries represent
2/3 of the organic acreage in the European Community.
The acreage is increasing irreguarly.
According to 'Agence Bio': "The
analysis shows a link between the development of organic
farming and the policy of the countries supporting
it."

- 5th for organic land with
560 838 ha.
- 20th for the land in % (1,9 %).
- 6th for the number of farms i. e 11 000
fermes.
In the eighties, France represented
40% of the european organic land. Today, it
represents only 8%
The Market
Some countries do not have inner
market:Spain and Hungary export 90% of their
food products. Others have shotage of organic
products : UK, France.
Some do link inner market and export : = Austria.
Supermarkets predominate in the
north of Europe. In Germany and France there
are many hypermarkets, supermerkets, specialized
shops and local markets.
